    Default Help Rickie

Fishing with a friend Friday. Has a new Helix 10 on bow. I know I have read about this problem some where but can't find it. This is with latest version of Lakemaster installed. Here is question, since installing unit after awhile the map screen will become very pixilated and will stay that way until you do a factory reset. It will come back perfect but then at different time intervals it will become pixilated again. Any idea what's going on?

Read something about setting bottom depth deeper . Was not sure about what the screen looks like but maybe a possibility .

Cray, make sure during the update that the map datum did not change. Most run WGS-84

Ok, in talking to him there have been no updates done since purchase. I doubt the unit has 30 hr's on it. I remember reading on Facebook or somewhere about a update causing some kind of mapping problem.

Coach that just pertains to the depth finder side where guys are having problems with depth reading going crazy. But in this case everything else works fine except the chart view and it stays usable but just gets real pixilated.

Cray does the pixelation relate to zoom level?
When I zoom in to far it gets bad, because the contour lines are actually raster images.

No sir, that dosnt seem to have any affect on it. It's the entire screen that gets pixelated.

If you're map looks like this (Doug's HELIX) I haven't found the definitive answer yet ...

    Name: IMG_1412.jpg
Views: 293
Size: 163.1 KB

It even happens occasionally on my old 1197 with LakeMaster mapping ...

It does rectify itself on my 1197 after a few seconds ... Or changing the zoom ...

That's exactly what it looks like. I'll get him to try the zoom next time he goes out. Never had that problem on my 998 with lake master. Just installed a 7 on bow and added Lakemaster. Haven't had a chance to try yet. Hopefully it won't do it. Thanks Rickie.

I have an email into HB about this issue, when I receive a response I will post it here. The zoom in or out does not seem to effect it when it becomes pixilated. Only a full restore to factory default will remedy it until it decides to act up again.
