    Default HB 798 waypoint help


    Have sd card full of waypoints, trying to load on Hummingbird 798 cannot find import under Nav menu. Any help would be appreciated,thanks

    Tracks,WP's, an something else r all separate. On my 1199 they all together an you click on it an hit import. I don't see that on the 798

    Power on the unit and then insert the SD card ...

    There should be a green popup asking if you want to load Nav data ...

    Press the 4way cursor right to select Yes ...

    If there is no green popup - something is amiss with the data on the card ...

    Where did you get the waypoints ...??
    Did you upload the waypoints to the SD card from Humminbird PC ...??
    Did you export these waypoints from a different HB unit to the SD card ...??

    I exported the WP'S from my 1199. I've loaded WP'S to my other units 997 998 the way you are describing Mr Rickie but it just won't work on this little 798. I'm thinking it maybe the SD card or the 798 is different from my other units.

    Unit being different shouldn't matter. I have downloaded and loaded between my 998 and 597 which is same as 798. You might try using another SD card and see what happens.

    If you haven't tried this, you might boot it up in simulator mode and try.

    Some older software versions on some older units have a different sequence ...(I don't remember the version) ...

    Try inserting the SD card with the unit off - then power on and see what happens ...
