Default Solix 15 , 999 at console and helix 12 at troller

I was once running a helix 12 at console and 999 at the trolling motor.they weren't networked. I just got a solix 15 that im going to run on the console along with my 999 strickly for mapping and waypoints.my question is that once I network all three units .

    1. Can I use my current high speed transducer that's working on my 999 to work thru it and register on my solix15 unit.

    2. Will the solix show a mega image in my 999 via Ethernet network?

    3. Will my external gps be able to be used thru the 999 to solix?

    3. maybe?

The Solix/Onix platforms will share waypoints only when networked with your 999/Helix platforms. So to my understanding, if you're using the GPS puck on the 999 to mark waypoint and you're sharing those waypoints with the Solix via the network, that should work, but I don't believe you will be able to locate the 999's GPS puck on the Solix via the network.

    1. To use your current 7pin 2d xducer on SOLIX you would need the AD 1429 adapter ...

And you would need the SOLIX Y cable ...

    2. SOLIX/ONIX will only share waypoints with numbered series and HELIX series ..

    3. SOLIX/ONIX will only share waypoints with numbered series and helix series ...

So are y'all saying that I can't leave the 2d hooked in to the 999 for high speed readings .
? I'm thinking if I use a splitter and all then I will be getting di readings from my high speed transducer instead of the mega transducer hooked in the solix. Also will my solix unit networked send side images to my 999.

I say map on the solix and use your skimmer on 999. Then all you need is the dongle to connect gps to solix.

Certainly you can leave the 2d hooked to the 999 for high speed readings ... 1 caveat = there may be Crosstalk interference if you leave the 999 transmitting Sonar when you scan with MEGA - adjusting the MEGA 2d CHIRP range may eliminate it (if it's even a problem) ...

Any of the HB DB Y cables only split off 2d - all other functions reside in the imaging xducer ...

No Sonar sharing between SOLIX and numbered series (or HELIX series) ... Only waypoints ...

Well u just learned me something as one of my teachers used to say if the splitter cable doesn't interfere with the di then i may go that route.
