    Default Which one

Got a new to me 898 and need to know options for mounting on a console so that I can turn it around and see it from up front. Have a ram mount for the 798 but it isn't near big enough to handle this bigger unit. Anyone steer me in a good direction?

I'm using a RAM swing arm for my 93sv horizontal mount. I think RA-H3. Got it from BBG

I also reccomend the swing the 6" swing arm. That is the one using with my Mega 10. I really like the way you can turn it different positions.

I haven’t tried the swing arm, but it’s next on my list!

I also have Ram swing arms on console and bow. They are useful tools for viewing units from opposite ends of boat and getting fish finder out of the way when deploying wireless trolling motor; I made a removable 18" extension pole to raise bow unit so I don't have to look so far down to see it...

I have a Balz-Out mount on my console, and used to use Ram before. I'd never
go back to the Ram. The Balz-Out is much more stable and offers just as many,
viewing options as the Ram. You won't be disappointed.

Just looked at the balz-out mounts; they look good $$$. I like the length choices...

You're right, a tad pricey, but worth every cent! This mount is not a
lightweight piece of aluminum. It's got some heft to it. It appears
to be machined out of one inch stock and the springs in the knobs
are definitely not lightweight. I'm going to order another one for
my bow mount finder, as soon as I make up my mind what H-Bird
    size and model I want.
