    Default Importing GPX file questions

I have Hummingbird PC downloaded, I imported in the State GPS and converted to GPX file. I have on a small SD card. My question is can I select only the waypoints I want or will it take all of them.

It has waypoints for the complete state so there are many I will never use.

Still learning - I have a Helix 5 that came with boat

    thanks

HBPC will import them all ...

Then click the + sign next to the gpx file to expand the file ...

Click on Waypoints and they should load into the right pane of HBPC ...

Then you can organize the waypoints by clicking any of the headers of the columns ... to get the waypoints into an order that may be easier to edit ...

Selecting a waypoint and then click the globe at the top will open that waypoint in GoogleEarth to verify if that waypoint is important to you ...

Thanks, I was able to get the file to load into Hummingbird PC. Did not mess around much with the file as you described I might try that.

Went out to the boat today and put in the card with file, I could not get unit to import anything. I put unit in simulator mode and then tried normal mode but could not figure it out.

Only ONIX and SOLIX can import gpx directly ...

Importing waypoints into a core unit is accomplished by Using HBPC to convert the waypoints gpx format to hwr format and load the waypoints onto the card ..

*Insert SD card in your PC card reader and a SD card icon will appear in HBPC ...
*Click and highlight the waypoints you want to load to the SD card ...
*Click the green arrow under the SD card icon and follow the prompts ...

This will load the waypoints onto the SD card into a newly created folder on the SD card named MATRIX ...

Power on the HB unit, insert the SD card and follow the prompts to load the waypoints into the HB unit memory ...

I think I figured out my issue, tried it again today and nothing. Called Hummingbird and they said I was using to large of SD card. The finder will not read anything over 32 GB. I was using a 64 GB card. Bought a 32 GB card, going to try again tomorrow.
