    Default Top Three "Preset" Views

Recently installed an update to my Helix 10 and thanks to akaslyguy for pointing out their are few new screen views to choose from. In fact there are a total of 33 different views available, obviously many are specialty views used only by a select few people but several are various combo views of all sorts of configurations. So that got me to wonder what are the most used "Preset" screen views of the three preset buttons?

I guess for me it would be a full SI, full DI and a full Map Chart.

    2d/map

If you look at it another way... you have 9 quick views. You have the quick view button... then a press of the up arrow or a press of the down arrow. I use that a lot to quick change from 2d/map to DI/map. Or from Map/side/DI... to Map/2d/DI.

    SI / Chart
    2d / Chart
    Chart

Now ... Someone ask me why I have a full screen Chart view preset when I already have Chart combo splits with my other 2 presets ...

Split combo screens must take into account which side is "active" (green arrow on HB core series split screens) to adjust settings ..

Any Sonar / Chart split combo view usually has the Sonar side (2d/DI or SI) as "active" to easily adjust Sonar settings ...

Any time the user wants to adjust the Chart view (zoom especially) = the "active" side of the split must be changed before making Chart adjustments ... This takes many button presses to change the active screen to the Chart side - adjust zoom level - ...and then many more button presses to get the "active side" back to the Sonar screen ...

Example with a Sonar / Chart split combo view showing ...:

    *Menu
*Cursor to "Active side" in the Xpress menu
*Cursor to activate Chart view as "active side"
    *Exit
    *Zoom Chart side
    *Menu
*Cursor to "Active Side" in the Xpress Menu
*Cursor to activate Sonar as "active side"
    *Exit

With a full screen Chart as 1 of the preset buttons ...

*Press full screen Chart preset button
    *Zoom in or out
    *Exit
*Press chosen split combo view preset button

Resulting in = the Chart zoom level in the split combo view will now be at the zoom level changed in the full screen Chart preset ... And returning to the Sonar / Chart split combo view = the "active side" was never changed ...

Fewer button presses to achieve the same goal ...
