Glad I started this thread, you just never know what ya you may learn by using the things you already have just a little differently! Thanks Rickie now there will be much less

Just a heads up if you have Helix units and have (or have not) installed the newest update that came out the other day. They added some new screen combos and a really nice one for searching is a "stacked" side imaging and down imaging. The side imaging is optimized by using the entire width of the screen, instead of the usual partial (compressed) width of the previous combos. The Down imaging is below the side imaging and also goes the full width across. That's not as necessary as it is for side imaging, but it gives you more history to see on the screen. You can also adjust the height to make side imaging taller (more history) and shrink down imaging.... or shrink side imaging (less history) and enlarge down imaging (little better detail). I'm glad they added it and the other screens.

Yes, it will be listed for each unit you have... but it is version 1.610... released on 1-13-2018.

Pre set @ 2d/Maps, 2d/DI, DI full. This works for me to find fish on channel ledges then move along slower with 2d/DI and DI to view what's down there.

Default #1 key on my 93SV is split 2d, SI, and chart. I use it 90% of the time since I can pull up whatever full screen view I want just by tapping on the screen. One of the reasons I prefer Garmins.
