    The Humminbird site lists your units power draw at 1 amp. Buy any battery that has at least 12 ampere hours rating. That would suffice for a 10-12 hour trip. I always like to double my expected need for built in margin.

    I would buy motor cycle or lawn tractor battery that is rated for 20-24 amp hours or above.

    why not a tray up front to run trolling motor use one in back for all the rest ?

    Just don’t have that much extra room really. It’s a 15’’ 56”” bottom duck boat so room is already pretty tight to begin with.

    Had a 1560 xpress duck boat . put tray directly behind front post . Had nothing on it but trolling motor . Will try to find picture of wiring .

    I run 2 depth finders, live well pumps, etc off UB12350 deep cycle scooter battery. 35 AH and will last all day!

    I have my Helix5 connected to a 18ah battery and it's good for a couple of days. The game feeder batteries are cheap you could get a couple of them, from Walmart or Academy Sports.
