Have a less than 2 year old helix 9 gen 2 have had no issues in fact love it ...today was adjusting contrast and sensitivity and the color background on the sonar changed to a reddish tint and now can't change the colors....so and do are still great. Any ideas on what I can try?
Did you try Restore Defaults ...??

That might have solved my issue....will know for sure next time out thanks for the advice...
Redge thanked you for this post
A update might just be me...did the restore defaults did take away the reddish background. Question running it on simulator mode its not showing any yellow in it ..is this normal I thought it had yellow in it too...
The color assignments in 2d sonar are dependent on pallete choice and target strength ...
1 color represents soft targets and 1 color represents harder targets ... Some "harder targets displayed" can be interpreted as fish in the center (more intense) part of the Sonar cone ...where some "softer targets displayed" can be interpreted as fish in the outer fringes (less intense) part of the Sonar cone ...
The pallete choice determines what 2 colors are being used for both/each ...
----
Simulator is basically a live recording hard coded into the unit for user practice ... It is possible that there were no harder targets under the xducer at the exact time that segment of the Simulator recording was captured on the water ...

Also sounds like you may have turned your "Switchfire" setting to "Max Mode". Good for fishing deep or cluttered water, or verticle jigging (drop shotters come to mind). It's under the Sonar settings.
