The only thing that has me looking at something else is the fact you cannot view a map on the striker 7sv.

    Ive used both

The Striker made nice images and was easy to use especially for the price, but the Helix 5 has even nicer sidescan imaging, and can record sonar.

So the helix does offer sideview? All the demos I messed with were at big box stores with HS kids.....

    Like Schins mentions, every HELIX size has a Sideview model ... 5", 7", 9", 10, 12" ...

But not every model within the sizes has SI (some are Sonar/GPS or Sonar/DI/GPS) ...

SI will be in the HB model name if it has side imaging ...

I don't know how to do any of that cool emoji stuff, but if I did there be one with the light bulb. I really appreciate your ability to make things dummy proof, some of us do need that. Lol
