I installed my FF this afternoon and tried it out this evening, to start with it was showing a lot of noise right by the surface but the longer I was out the more cluttered the screen got. I turned the sensitivity down some, but still had a lot of noise between the surface and the bottom. Any ideas. I will get a picture of the mount on the transducer tomorrow. but here is the screen.

Are you running the trolling motor and the FF/DF on the same battery? If so, that is likely where your noise is coming from. I have a 7AH Gel Cell on which I run my DF/FFs. It will run either of my finders all day without a recharge.

yes both are on the same battery. but the noise was there even when the TM was off. i may try to run power directly from the battery and bypass the power distribution panel i have. i will also try using a different battery. thanksOriginally Posted by Clint

took the wife out for mothers day fishing trip, i coiled up the extra transducer wire before we hit the water. FF worked a lot better today.
