Default Da Ducer on 1648 G3 from podunkideas.com

I wanted to mount a HDS depth finder on the front of my 1648 G3 Jon Boat and with a few tips from Rickie, ordered a Da Ducer and finally got the Lowrance Elite TI 7 HDS and got everything mounted and I must say, I am really going to enjoy the da ducer on the front of the boat with the transducer mounted up front. I also left the Lowrance HDI 5 on the front and the transducer to it on the trolling motor for now also. For me, this will work like a charm if you're looking to mount a Side Scan depth finder up front. Thanks Rickie for everything and enjoy a few pics.

    Thanks Chuck ...

Don't forget ... You can mount an external GPS antenna directly to the VHMW top cap of da ducer apparatus® ...

Let me know if you have questions ...

You might also think about mounting the HDI on da ducer apparatus® ...

And there is no interference if running the both depth finders at the same time in shallow water say to 40' deep at the most? I was just going to run the Hook 5 HDI for navigation no better the maps are for Indiana Lakes and run the side scan and down scan off the Elite 7. But,,now you got me thinking of moving the Hook 5 transducer off the trolling motor for sure. I upgraded all 3 depth finders as Lowrance has a patch to their software upgrade for rectifying the lag in their built in gps's and wanted to see how good the upgrade was before springing for a external gps.

Another question,,,how do you squeeze all the attachment heads of the wires into the square channel with transducer wires already inside? Is there a way to take the ends apart or maybe file down the outsides down aliitle? The ends that attach the transducers to the unit is what I am asking?

awesome on the diff. frequencies. How did you get all your wires into the square channel. Is there a way to take the end caps off where they screw tight on the back of the depth finders?

Rickie..looking at the OP's first pic w/daducer deployed raises a question for me. If you have sv/si on the apparatus does physical interference/blockage from TM become a consideration? If so how do you correct for that? Realize too that the ducer only has to be in the water, not as deep as TM, but wondered about blocking si sigs such as on the transom with the gas motor. TY

da ducer apparatus® basic-L models have 1" inside diameter square shaft ...
da ducer apparatus® 360 models have 1.25" inside diameter square shaft ...

Most brands cable connectors will thread thru either model shaft ...

Using more than 1 xducer on da ducer apparatus® = one needs to thread the 1st cable thru the square shaft - and that cable will "lie" into one of the 4 inside corners of the square shaft while the 2nd cable collector is threaded thru the square shaft ...
