I've bought / used everstart max deep cycle battery's on my previous boat and they seemed to hold up well....... they're about in my price range ....... are they still a decent battery for the money??? .......

Also there is a batteries plus store near me that carries Duracell deep cycle battery's for the same price range...... anybexperience with these???

Any other options I should consider in the 100 price range???

had group 27 in the boat but have room to replace with group 29, is it benificial to do so?

I do 99% single pole fishing with the occasional trolling or visit to restricted HP lakes where I have to use my TM the whole time......... so my demands on the TM battery's are prob fairly normal / not excessive like trollers ...........

Thanks for all the info so far.

The walmart everstart marine batteries are good and have a 2 year free replacement warranty where most others only have a 1 year replacement. I think the biggest thing with marine batteries is to always get them back charged up as soon as possible for longer battery life. The "smart battery chargers" are also a battery's life saver also just plug them up and they do what ever the battery needs unlike the old battery chargers that we use to have. Also remember that wet cell batteries are wet always keep a check on the water in them and always use distilled water and do not under or over fill them.
Be safe and good luck fishing
