I use both on boat and on the ice. On a small pond I can drill one hole and point out best place to fish in that pond. Gives depth , direction and location. Screen up dates entirely no history section like on all other forms of graphing. On boat in open water search in 200' circles using trolling motor mount with the PS 21.

Best analogy I can come up with. Picture bird hunting by yourself with no dog. Now same scenario but with a well trained, eager to hunt pointer.
Which case offers more chance of success.

How simple is it ? If it is moving it is a fish. No looking for shadows , small white dots yada yada.yada. Complicated to explain but easy to use. Basically plug and play be an expert at end of the day.
I have a PS-22 that I have been using this year. Really nice and easy to find brush piles and easy to tell when it's a fish as hays47 mentioned. Once you look at the screen for a short period it's easy to pick up what everything is and like he said...if it moves...it's a fish. Cast out (even tells you how far) and watch your lure fall in front of the fish. Easy to tell when you are on top of the pile too when vertical jigging or cast and dragging.

I'm thinking of selling the ps-22 and trying the livescope ($$$). The PS22 probably does everything I need it to do, but the livescope just looks prettier. Why do I look at the new stuff?
