    Default New purchase

Got a new boat today. Dropping it off tommorow for electronics. Would you go 2 Onix 10ci si or Helix 10si/12si ? Thanks for the opinions .

ONIX is way more customizable ...and in that customization = more complicated menus ...

HELIX is dependable ...and much easier to navigate thru the menus ...

If you like more customization, pushing buttons and changing settings a lot = choose ONIX ...

If you like to turn the unit on and just go fishing = choose HELIX ...

P.S ... and as Gene mentions ... ONIX (and ION) is the only HB that has 2d / dedicated DI / and SI in the same xducer ...

Thank you. I went Onix and 360 on the front on my new boat.
I got a Helix 7 si for my small boat while I was there. Can i use a splitter cable for 2 transducers . hi speed and the si compact , is there any problem doing this ?

There are separate Y cables for ONIX or core series units to be used with a dual xducer Setup for high speed depth readings ...

    The ONIX would need ...:

    *AS 14 SIDB Y cable

    *Ad 1429 adapter cable

*XP 9 20 for a shoot thru fiberglass boat installation ...

*Or XNT 9 20 for a transom mount application ...

    The HELIX would need ...:

    *AS SIDB Y cable ...

*Either the XP 9 20 or the XNT 9 20 listed above ...

Thanks Richie. I've connected the 7 si to the y cable you listed. Everything works fine between the two transducers . But the si only had left side shows?
By the way you should see what the two Onix shows ! Boy that 360 is clear. I've got to get my directions down with some practice. They did put a interlink module between them. I'm getting a aqua view next week also. So many things can be done too them. Digital is the bomb in these units.
But I have to brag on that helix 7 si. That is a clear of a screen as I seen on any manufacturers.

Try Restore Defaults under the Setup tab ...

If that doesn't work ... Disconnect the Y cable and test the SI xducer directly into the back of he unit ...

If SI works again = the Y cable is bad ...(I have read of the Y cable being bad right out of the package) ...
