Default Have Navionics on iPhone, can I put it on iPad?

I have been using Navionics Boating on my iPhone for about 10 months, it works good. Navionics is handy, especially when finding the deep holes for ice fishing, I could look at my phone as I walked across the ice. I use Lakemaster maps in my HB on the boat. I also use the waypoints once i find the good spots on the HB.

Now I am planning a trip to another state not covered on my HB Lakemaster maps. Was wondering if i could put my purchased Navionics Boating app on my iPad? I want a bigger screen to see the depth lines. I assume I could download a mapped area and then not need to use wifi or data when on the lake.

I downloaded the app to the iPad and tried to use the previous purchase function and I apparently entered the wrong email and now it just defaults to that screen.

Did some other research and concluded I may be trying to use the HD version which costs $49 versus the $9.99 version I have on my phone. Is the standard $9.99 version still available?

    Thanks

I think the iPad version is separate from the iPhone version ...and not cross-compatible ...

Correct, you can download an are to mobile device and that data is stored in your mobile device then all you need is a gps signal or data plan source to track your position

I downloaded the app to the iPad and tried to use the previous purchase function and I apparently entered the wrong email and now it just defaults to that screen.

Not sure on this, delete the app and reload it.

The HD version 49.00 is designed for the bigger screen on an iPad and costs more, evidently it costs more to develop the app for the
iPad. (What I was told) The 10.00 version was strictly for the phone, if you put the 10.00 version on the iPad the clarity is not very good and it doesnt fill the screen of the iPad.

I know you use to be able to install the phone version on an iPad but that my have changed.

Got it. had to use my iTunes account on the iPad (my wife had her own iTunes account on it) then select iPhone for the apps and the navionics popped up as a previously downloaded app. The standard def resolution will work fine for one trip this lake.

    Thanks
