    Default Core/Helix pleasant surprise!

Well I rigged up my Helix 10 SI at the console yesterday and fortunately I had already pre-wired everything so that helped, including the ethernet cable from the HB 859DI on the bow. The only challenge was the RAM base, but after lots of profanity and some scraped up wrists, it got mounted.

Went out for a bit this morning and the Helix performed as expected, pure awesomeness. BRIGHT and Clear picture, first time use the Y cable to split the 2D off the shoot-thru in the bilge.

    So now for the surprise...

With the Helix 10 and 859 (US2 connection only) networked, I can obviously select which transducer, gps puck, etc...what I was not expecting was to be able to view the DI and SI from the Helix transducer on the 859...didn't think it was going to show side imaging but it sure did and did so nicely! Very happy!

All the Helix models that network and the xx9 series can share all transducer technologies with each other as well as GPS...and of course waypoints.

It used to be rumored that the SI unit couldn't share a dedicated DI transducer from another unit ....but the has been busted....that works too.
