Default Do I Need A Bigger Screen?

I know everyone always says to buy the biggest screen that you can afford but is 1 inch really worth $500 Bucks? Will I notice more on the screen or just notice a lighter wallet?

I am comparing the Helix 9 vs. Helix 10 the unit and screen for that matter are exactly the same size, except the H9 has the 1/2" black border non-screen area that goes all the way around the glass.

I am moving up from a 5" screen, so I would expect that moving up in size say from a 5" to a 9" or 10" will be pretty impressive with more detail as would moving up from a 7" or 8" inch screen to a 12" screen. Just not sure how much one would gain going from a 9" to a 10".

I have the 10 and looked at the 9 in the store the other day after months with the 10. The 9s screen looked great and would have been just as usable as the ten. But, that extra inch is diagonal so it does add quite a bit of screen size and for my eyes everything helps. Also the difference in price is based on the transducer upgrade that is included with the 10 over the 9. I knew my pricepoint considering the sale of my old unit and a few other things I had sold so rather than by the less expensive one and always wondering about the larger screen I just went for it.
