    Default what chirp setting

I just got a Elite 7 Chirp to replace my Elite 7 HDI. According to the operation manual using a 83/200- 455/800 HDI skimmer transducer, you should use medium/high setting. (page 17) Is this what everyone is using? Any other settings?????........thanks guys.....crappie1133

[QUOTE=Kevin22;3173134]I use high.[/QUOTEkevin, You would think more than 2 people had these units. Must have been a tough question or maybe nobody really cares....Oh well. doesn't matter........crappie1133

To be honest i have never used the med/hi. It had high as a default when i got my first chirp unit and i was able to dial it in the way i like it so i never messed with any others. High chirp is comparable to the 200khz setting on the hdi with a little crisper returns. If you used 83 on your hdi then you might want med/hi.
