No mapping as in no gps/ability to see navionics type maps or no ability to do the scan and make your own maps as you go feature (contour scan?)?

I am knocking around the idea of moving that 788 up to the front and putting the helix unit on the console. I need a new transducer anyway might as well get the trolling motor transducer and move it. Will the two talk if I network them? I would just want to share waypoints is all I think.

HELIX 7 DI and HELIX 7 Sonar have no mapping capability ...

Only the models that say "GPS" have mapping/chartplotting ...

Will an 859 network to a 788?

I just want to be able to share the waypoints, maybe the maps if I ever get a map card. If I am up front fishing and mark a spot on that unit I want it to also end up on the console unit so I can go to it with the big motor.

I see the 859 has the capability, can't really find it in the manual on the 788.
