Default battery drain while sitting in shed

I finally figured out my battery problem. I installed two transducers on my HB 899. Ever since then, the battery would be dead within a couple days. Not every time was the problem. Finally got it yesterday, When the switch was left on the #2 ducer it kills the battery. When left on #1 no drain at all. Anyone have this problem???

If you are using the HB TS3 switch ....It works kinda like a train track switch ...

In position 1 - the sonar data flows directly thru cable 1 ...(no 12v power needed in this position) ...

In position 2 - the 12v power engages the relay in the TS3 to "push" the switch to connect cable 2...

If the HB TS3 switch is left in this position 2 - 12v power is continuously sending juice to the relay ...

I put a 12v toggle switch in front of my HB TS3 switch so that I could kill the power completely to the HB TS3 switch ...

This way I don't have to remember which side of the HB TS3 switch is powered and which side is not ...

Thanks Rickey. That helps me a bunch. I've been going crazy trying to figure out what was going on.

Thanks for posting this, I had thought my TD was going out. However it seemed to be a random occurrence, finally figured that someone (me) had forgot to turn on the toggle switch!! D'oh! Hate to admit that but figured it may help someone in the future!

The easiest way to determine which xducer cable leg of the HB TS3 switch is powered ...is to connect a xducer to 1 leg of the HB TS3 switch with the power wires (+ and -) of the HB TS3 switch unconnected ...

If you get sonar data thru that connected xducer cable leg (with no power attached) = the other xducer cable leg of the HB TS3 switch is the xducer cable leg that needs energized 12v power ...

Trolling motor? Mine would drain my batteries (24v) Put in a disconnect.
