Call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks at 1-800-633-1468.
The TMC-1 is a Trolling Motor Choke and is an accessory that you may not need.
Be aware that what works for one boat in eliminating or filtering out RF interference, may not work on all boats. So you may have to end up trying several different things to get this to work.

How about noise from the outboard motor?
Would running twisted pairs help there?
My 788ci goes crazy when I give the boat throttle.
I currently have the power wires directly to the main battery but the wires follow all the other boat wires down a central conduit in the bilge area.
I plan to reroute it when I get my boat back. I works great at idle or slow speeds.

Like Greg said it may or may not work. But it certainly can't hurt.

I noticed i have interference on my SI and DI screen. I have 998 with transom transducer at back, power connected to dedicated battery. Interference noted when using TM which is on bow with a separate dedicated power source. Nothing about the 2 are connected......TM is up front with different power, and 998 is at rear with transducer on transom with different power.......
been reading but do you guys have any idea where to begin?
