Nice shots, cp. keep them coming.
Pappy, what adjustment setting do you have that set on when using the 800khz? I can't seem to get the the 800 khz to work as well as the 455khz, even in shallower water which is what the 800 is supposed tom be beeter for.
Smally ... I use :
(main menu)
Color = Blue Gradient
Surface Clarity = Off
(under main menu "adjust" )
Contrast = 60%
(under Settings menu, then Sonar menu)
Manual Mode = On
Noise Rejection = On
(under Settings, then System menu) Advanced Mode = On
Those are the only settings that I think would have any effect on the screen image, but if you want to know more settings, then just tell me which ones you're interested in knowing & I'll look & see.
Biggest difference I've seen between using 800kHz & 455kHz has been the crisper clarity of the images with the 800kHz setting. It just seems to define the smaller details of what I'm seeing on the screen.
I hate to admit it, but I missed getting a bunch of much better screenshots. But, in my defense, I was catching some of those fish that were showing up on the screen, at the time :Rofl

Just to add yet another "operations manual" link : http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...ion_Manual.pdf
Again, let me add that it may show some "settings" or "capabilities" that are not present in the Elite 5 DSI ... FYI

Thanks Pappy, I'll give those settings a try next time out.
I do the opposite direction from Pappy it seems. I use the following for 800khz
(I use a white background so it looks closer to a color sonar graph, it's easier for me to see with sunglare and I can more easily see hard vs. soft objects with the red, blue & yellow colors)
Contrast: upper 70's to 80
Noise Rejections: On
Surface Clarity: OFF! This is a must for 800 for me. It won't pick up nearly as much with it turned on.
If I run dual 455 & 800, the graph scroll is slower and sometimes doesn't show as good a picture as running just 455.
If I run 455 in water over 20ft, I like to have the surface clarity off as some of my previous posts, it shows a lot more definition and trees that were not showing up with it turned on.
