I keep the waypoints also in a composition book with good descriptions of each waypoint. But the more I mess with waypoints I find that it is difficult sometimes finding the waypoints in my book. Simply because of the numbering system. I believe I will be breaking Watts Bar Lake into sections and and use a numbering system like this; section 1 use waypoint numbers starting at 100 section 2 use waypoint numbers starting at 200 sect 3 300 sect 4 400 and so on. then I can rename the existing waypoints accordingly, and redo my book to match the new numbers, a little work but no problem I am retired. The more I use the Elite-5 DSI the more I like it. I do not get lost in the menus near as much as I did when I first started to use it. Another thing I realized was the descriptions of what is at the waypoint does not make it easier to find in the book. how many ways can you describe brush in 25 feet of water.
