Default Humminbird 898c Help me please with using the GPS

Hello!!! Im hoping someone can help me use the GPS in my humminbird. I dont have any trouble marking a waypoint or getting back to that waypoint inside the unit. What i need the unit to do is give me an arrow to that waypoint and point me in that direction and tell me how far i am from that waypoint. Does anoyone out there have any advice for me. Please!! and thank you /steven

I'm doing this from memory so bear with me...somebody chime in if I miss something...

Make sure your unit is in "Advanced Mode"...

Go into the "Navigation tab" and make visable "show directional arrow" visable..

Also under the "navigation tab" turn "Continuous Navigation" to "ON"...

Exit out of all the menus...

Press the "Goto" button on the unit...

Navigate thru the windows to the waypoint you want to go to..

    Press enter on the unit...

Remember that you have to be going faster than 0.5mph for the directional arrow to show...slower than 0.5mph shows the dreaded "DONUT" that doesn't know where it is...

That's too complicated, just put some surveying flags out where you want to return to.

You can always just cursor to the waypoint and hit Go To that should be the simplest quickest way
