    Default Livescope battery

So I’m planning on getting a Livescope set up soon and going to run a separate battery for it cos after talking with friends who have it saying the black box really draws some power I want to run it’s own battery to it. Lithium is what I’m going for to help reduce weight but don’t know what would be a good size to run to it? Was thinking maybe a Tracker Lithium 18ah but don’t know if that will be enough? Anybody have any insight into this, would be greatly appreciated!

I can understand wanting to run on separate battery but going to throw this out there. I run my livescope, 93 and 102 on my group 31 cranking battery. Run my livewell and radio all day. Have never seen below 12.2 volts and fish all day. Might be my style of fishing allowing me to do this as I’m constantly running and gunning instead of just sitting and running livescope. Constantly charging with big motor while going to next spot.

I gotcha. I’m in a 1448 Lowe w/ 25hp Tohatsu tiller on the rear. So unfortunately no alternator to charge as I go, but that’s why I was wondering about separate battery

Oh cool, I should be good then if that’s the case. I have an 80ah that only my trolling motor runs on so I’m sure I could hook it up to that as well with no issue yeah?

I tried a ECO-Worthy 50ah Lithium to run my Garmin 93sv/LS box .... and it ran flawlessly for 6hrs & then shut down. Now, to be fair, I don't think I had the battery fully charged, so it could have lasted another hour or two if it had been fully charged. I haven't had a chance to test it again, under full charge status. I bought the 50ah thinking that "at max" my LS system could draw up to 6amps/hr and a 50ah would get me at least 8hrs service.
I also didn't think to check the Garmin periodically to see what the voltage was from when I first turned it on. But, in my defense, it's my first time with a Lithium battery & I'm not that familiar with their use.

I run a 12" helix a 106 Garmin and my LiveScope off of a 60ah tracker lithium battery and running it 8 hrs plus with no issues. 50 ah should be more than enough.
