The new bluetooth systems will only work with 2017 and newer. I have a 2016 and was told there was no way to use the new i pilot with my motor.

What is the difference between I pilot and I pilot link. Just starting to think about getting the new ultrex.

Link connects to a humminbird sonar and allows the "follow the contour" feature, you can also control the motor from the humminbird. Lots of good videos on youtube.

Yes, you can also record tracks as you're idling over a certain area and then set the link to follow your tracks. You can do the same with waypoints also. Set a series of waypoints then follow with link. As mentioned though, you do have to have Hummingbird electronics to get these features. If you go with iPilot it's worth it to spend the extra bucks for the link. IMO

Anyone with I-Pilot/Link create itracks and export them from NAV data to a SD card and be able to import them into Humminbird PC? I can see them under NAV data but no luck in getting them into HB PC.

There are some really good videos on YouTube showing the abilities of the spot-lock. Here is a link to one of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfTfroPLdqA

I think minkota does a piss poor job in instruction and how to hookup your hummingbird depth finders. I bought the terrova 80/45 and nowhere in the parts list does it show the lowrance puck or where and how to install neithe does it show how to hookup to older models of hummingbird finders. I have a 757c and i hooked it up to the proper cable with a cable that i had to buy seperatly. now for the question. Dose the trolling motor use my 757 for gps or is the the down imaging hooked up. I havent had it on the water yet do to bad weather but any help or ideas would help. Thanks Dave

I'm not sure why you're attacking minnkota because you didn't want to research. The built-in transducer on the trolling motor is conventional 2d sonar only. You can't upgrade or change it out to down imaging or side imaging. You had to buy an adaptor cable because it's universal sonar. And I don't know what you're asking about the gps and 757. Does your terrova come with ipilot? What lowrance puck are you talking about?

Like Superx10 said, the transducer in trolling motor is a universal 2d only puck. You have to buy and adapter cable because it is designed to work with all major finders. Which based on years of manufacture all require different hook ups. Impossible for them to install or provide all the cables that could be required. Also being 2d only you are not going to be able to use your unit for DI if your unit is so equipped. If your unit is DI pretty easy to install on motor and run cable up shaft.

No, trolling motor does not use GPS from your unit. If it is a Ipilot motor it uses its own internal GPS.
