Don't waste your tone putting in at Geitner park, drive the extra 10 minutes and put in at Lovelady, better ramp and only a mile or so from Whittenburg. Gunpowder is the first creek going up on right side, I prefer the lower end of the lake for crappie.

Hickory has 3 times the pressure of rhodhiss. Just crappie likes structure and hickory has more docks, bridges, etc. Gunpowder is always mentioned because that's were you start catching more crappie, it's starts there to the end of the lake. If you have livescope, rhodhiss can be really rewarding with fishing brush piles.

Lovelady has good ramps and ample parking, people catch crappie at nights in that cove from shore.

Gunpowder is more cleaner than the main body of the lake. Several sewage spills occur during each year
