    Mitch used to catch lot of Bass on the Buyon Boogie. How is it doing on crappie and also the square bill how are they doing.

    Hey, thanks for asking!
    As some folks know, that "bayou Boogie" actually started off as the Pico Perch! It may be one of the sleeper baits out there for crappie. Especially BIG crappie. We have those back into production right here in Arkansas. That make for excellent "pushing" Lures.
    The Square bill cranks also are some of the best "pushing" lures i know of. I kinda did that on purpose.. LOL
    As a kid, wading around creeks with weeds, i noticed that when we caught crawdads, the would make this "clicking" sound when they used their tail to swim. Took awhile to get it, but we managed to get the Knocking / clicking sound into those squarebill baits. I think the wide action, and that more natural sound makes all the difference with those lures. They are crappie attractors!
