    Default Wondering if this hybrid can catch crappie and fish with larger mouths


    Too cold to fish so I came up with this lure in my basement workshop:

Size:  47.7 KB

    It's the one on the bottom (the other four always get strikes). I used a large curl tail from a 4" grub and added it to a pork frog immitation body.
    I figured it would do well in shallow weeds and in water 3-5' deep with or without weeds.

    Looks like a polliwog/tadpole, bullfrog type. I think some big boys will come aa snackin!

    Hope'n it will catch a few. I'll post pictures the first time it catches fish. Of course that's going feel like an eternity before I can go fishing again in the n.e.
