    Default Problem with laminate bond


    Two colors not bonding good when using laminate plate,what is the solution or do i have to get a dual injector

    Two things I found can cause this issue.

    1. 2nd color isn’t being shot hot enough on to 1st color.
    2. the 1st color you shot has sat around long enough it gets oily residue.

    These can be fixed by shooting the 2nd color hotter (375 or so) as well as cleaning your 1st color side you will be laminating to with 90% rubbing alcohol. Also hold pressure.

    I agree with what Dr.nip said shoot it hot and if u still have issues maybe try a little bit harder plastic

    Have you tried putting your mold with the first side shot and the laminate plate on it into a toaster oven set at around 300 degrees?

    Best way to solve all your problems on laminate is get a dual injector.
