Default New 2 inch tube mold.

My new 2 inch tube mold come in today I didn't know whether to throw it in a garbage can or continue to get it to working properly this mold is not for the beginner I had to put some O-rings to keep the pins from flying out of the mold this was to make it solid body to make it hollow body I had to put some Popsicles in there blocking the pins from flying out also again get the proper distance we can do a variety of things with it we are still working with the mold to see what we can or cannot do with it we can do two colors with a little bit of effort we have to re-dip the tubes and do hot plastic you cannot cut the Head off and shoot the second color because the tail end does not line back up he designed the mold to cut the tail into the mold not into the pins.

    Looks great!

The pins should have a groove cut in them where you put the o ring for precise alignment. I would say two per pin so that you can have solid or hollow. You might suggest this to him to see if he will do it for you.

I would hope that he resolved the problem for you if he desires future business from you. Does he have a return policy if the product is flawed? What has been his track record in resolving problems? Seems as if you have to do more work than you expected because you stated "I didn't know whether to throw it in a garbage can or continue to get it to working properly this mold is not for the beginner I had to put some O-rings to keep the pins from flying out of the mold this was to make it solid body to make it hollow body I had to put some Popsicles in there blocking the pins from flying out also again get the proper distance we can do a variety of things with it " Let him know he did NOT DELIVER on what you expected. It looks like the mold was designed to be injected with it on its side and the work bench preventing the pins from shooting out. If this is the case then another set of shorter pins would be ideal for solid tubes.

Well looking at it again you’d be injected it sideways if you did like I said.

The pins are short Short enough to make a hollow body you could shoot it on its side the O-rings are for solid bodies you can shoot that straight up on the mold just don’t wanna play a lot of pot pressure it works fine.

I shoot it sideways or hollow body and I could shoot it up right when I use the old range to make it solid body.
