I’ve been thinking about a snag proof stinger for quite a while and have not approached any of the mold makers we do have one that we do make but it is not in the stinger style just see the body is too fat for me to be a stinger just thought I would ask you guys what you would think about a snake proof stinger.

Bob .... I think I remember a jig body that had just such a weedguard built into the body, but don't remember the brand.
There are lots of options for "snag proof" items on jigheads, and even some add-on plastic guards. The weedguards on the jigheads work very well, but it's been my experience that the add-on plastic guards do not work very well, nor do they last very long. Their biggest downfall is they have to be soft enough to allow the hook point to be inserted and then exit the product on hookset. This "softness" also allows the guard to easily go from a ( shape to a ) shape, which then no longer serves the intended purpose. That and the repeated inserting & popping out of the hook point tears the guard up to the point where it's no longer useful.

Bob is talking about a shad body like these rolling thunder he sells.
IMHO sounds great on paper but I leave the weedless part to a jighead. I've done weedless plastics 5-6 years ago and didn't like. The plastic tends to tear especially with a strike/bite. Now a days I only use a weedless jighead, fiberguard style, when casting and dragging through structure. Fiberguard style will last all day. Outside this I just use a regular jighead and if I get snagged 9 times out of 10 using the rubberband trick gets the jighead unsnagged.

It doesn't need to be put on point of hook to work, but just blocking the point. You would need to sell with it, the weighted jig, that applies to it's use.
