Default HOW TO MAKE FLATHEAD TEARDROP ICE FISHING LURES

This is something new that I tried. I have been looking for a lure to glide in the water, yet which would be very light and easy to inhale, for my one and a half inch soft plastic minnows. I did not find anything that I liked so I just decided to make my own. I am calling this the "FLATHEAD TEARDROP ICE FISHING LURE. I hope it gives you some ideas. These are soldered to a #6 hook and are about 1/64th ounce each. I do not sell these but I am showing you how to make your own. You can get powder paint, tin shells and solder from Janns Netcraft. Soldering irons are at Walmart. The saucer is from a Thrift Store. If you like it then great. I am posting photos of how you can make it in under a minute for each one.

I have some of those and they work great on bluegill and shellcrackers with a meal worm .....and no ice needed.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Except after you catch them and put them in a bucket to take home.

John, reference your recent email to me. I fish the Flathead Teardrop under a weighted slip float. You can use this lure for Bluegill or Crappie in fresh water or ice fishing. This is my setup.

    Hey midnight 508

Dennis, this is the one and a half inch minnow I use mostly with my flathead teardrop lure. It is just clear plastic with some silver glitter. I use "Spike-it" Black worm-n-chunk paint for the eyes. Use the head of a small drill bit to dot the eye. I sent you some.

    James,

Use resin core solder and you do not need to flux.

Thanks for the email. Glad you like them
