I will check it out even though I bought an 8 oz and a 9.5 oz. I had no idea these existed! Thanks!

I contacted Marty Trammell who owns Quality Injectors . I ordered two of them. An important note after using Ultra Mold and Do-I, Mold 8 oz and 9.5 oz injectors, the diameter of each of those injector openings is 1/4 " instead of 3/8" like BassTackle and Marty's injectors . The smaller size makes injecting difficult as it requires more pressure to inject. I never would have bought an injector with a 1/4' HOLE had I known. IN ADDITION THE ULTA MOLD AND DO-IT MOLD INJECTORS Also require a lot of strength when sucking th plastic to of a container. Their rubber gaskets cause a skipping sensation inside the injector when you are filling them. I attribute this to the small diameter injector hole.

On my injectors after so long in the build up plastic inside in what I do is a spray some Pam inside and push the plunger back-and-forth then wipe off the excess off of the end of the plungers this will free it up and make it smooth running

These injectors are new and their washers are ribbed, not round. They are lubed heavily with worm oil after each injection. No issue ever on the BassTackle injectors, however the Ultra Mold and Do-It mold injectors both skip when pulling and pushing the plunger no matter what.

Frank could it be the o ring in those Injectors are the wrong ones I will try to change them to see if it makes a difference if it didn't I'd get rid of the injectors.I have bass tackle and good all reliable bear.

These ae brand new injectors with ridged o-rings, not smooth like BassTackle on the plunger. The O-rings on the caps are smith like BassTackles. The extra o-rings that came with them are ridged too. I will look for smooth replacements, however it is where and the correct diameter. The o-rings are larger than BassTackle. The Ultra Mold injector will get me by until the new ones arrive.

My large capacity do it injector has smooth o rings and smoothest injector I’ve used. The inner diameter of the injector port is 3/8” not 1/4”. I bought mine like 4 years ago and maybe they have changed? McMaster Carr is where I would get replacement o rings.

The Do-It injector works, but with extreme pressure to fill a large multi-cavity mold. I am convinced the 1/4" opening in the cap versus 3/8" opening is a major factor in the need for increased pressure required to fill the mold. IN addition the marble size ball on the Do-It injector hurts the palm of your hand when injecting. My new injectors will be here in a couple of weeks. I will let you know how they work.
