Thread: I have a question

I am so caught up in what I make and what others make on this site that I don't really pay too much attention to the big name brand plastics but I suspect that Bobby Garland Baby Shads are still a huge seller in the stores. I guess I should pay closer attention.

I’m more curious about what brand of plastics that you were buying. I’m sure is it Bobby Garland is at the top of the list with many of the guys out there but I would like to know if there’s any other plastics is they were really interested in or they are Getting

I suspect BG leads the way -- then Crappies Tubes like Southern Pro or other various brands -- and Slider Grubs rounding out the top three.

I wonder though if a pack of hooks for fishing minnows outsells everything combined.

Oh ok. I use a lot of bobby garland, mostly the baby shad swimmr ones. But I also use some of southern pro's colors in their stinger shad. They have a blue/black laminate with a chartreuse tail that is dynamite. The southern pros are terrible as far as plastic strength, they are 2-3 fish baits so I don't use them too much unless I catch them on sale for $1.

Other than that, I'm still old school a bit.. I'll toss a tube around quite a bit. Oh and I use strike king jokers a bit when the fish are eating big baits.

I haven't really gotten into using custom crappie plastics yet, probably will try some this year. I used to make my own years ago but there wasn't hardly anything out there for crappie molds other than small grubs and the twitchy minnow. I caught A LOT of fish on the 1.75 twitchy minnow years ago.

I have mostly used Bobby Garlands baby shads ! And souther pro hot grubs. And they are fish catchers But as stated tare really easy ! So I just orderd some baits from A guy off C.C name SNAKE RIVER his baits are fantastic ! They are a soft bait like the others but they have durability and they last and the fish love em! The tail action are as good or better than any other that I have used ! Another thing about this guy I placed my order on the weekend and my baits arrived nicely packaged on Wednesday!
