The powder that you use To mix into your plastic Is what We use You can buy it in many different Colors now. After you put the scale on your plastic baits You have to dip it in clear plastic To lock it in Kind of a long process.

I put my mesh over 6oz plastic cup and held it in place with a rubber band. The cup catches the powder that falls through the mesh

Bob showed me this process years ago. I built a similar frame and used the mesh from an old screen door. I stapled it to my frame just because it was more sturdy than plastic or fabric netting and I could get it tighter on the frame. Sometimes I still use this method on my own minnows that I handcraft but it can be very time consuming. The resulting look can be just awesome.
