I brush my Plaster molds with the "Homemade" Anise oil I made not too long ago
I've added some other stuff that was suggested to me with good results...It was a secret so I'll let them post it up if they want to
Just curious to see how many others have been adding Garlic Powder, Salt, Anise and Olive Oil to their soft plastic when you microwave them? I do....then I add coloring, stir, and inject. Makes a pretty good scented lure. Would anyone else be willing to share what you have been adding?
Thanks,
Mike

The O'l Cliche, What Ever Works Stick With It
For I did for awhile
then discovered that you can actually cook out
more then what you gain, except for salt of course
Now if anything I worm oil the bag first then the bait
at times I will use garlic salt, or Anise, any scent, then worm oil
I feel more comfortable having this method of absorption
for afield you can always return the bait to the bag for recharging

Be careful of using salt in your plastic it will break down your plastic in time not to mention keep it away from metal your bait I've had many people ask you to add salt but I don't like to use it yes I do not like it in my plastic that is left over and if I do use it are you she strolled the plastic in the garbage left over stuff. most of the oil based garlic and other stuff I use is safe there are many different smelly stuff that you could add to your plastics on the market including grape shrimp I believe the have a salmon smell crawdad mackerel and don't know how many other states have now when I know it's quite a few. most the time I do not add it to the plastic only on request many of the anglers do not like it added to it so this the reason why I do not add it like you said only on request.
I am still convinced that adding a few drops of scent by eyedropper just before casting a lure is the BEST way to add scent and it gives a better scent trail in the water. I have tried it both ways but I think I will stay with adding scent by eyedropper right before casting. Thank you everyone for your input.
