need a grub mold where the cavities are close to the end with a small line leading outside the mold so that we can insert feather stem into the line up inside the cavity with the rest of the feather out of the mold so that we can shoot the plastic over the stem of the feather to bond it. I tried running the feathers up the jig body but they pull out very easy. How did you do yours

we take a big needle and Paul the feathers through the body and cut off the in flush and then we put the jig head on and superglue the body to the head. That way you were super gluing the feathers to the head. that is a good ideal you had with the mold maybe you can talk to one of the mold makers about the I would truly love to see something made like that it would save you a lot of time.

Make a 2 sided pop mold using rtv first . Save yourself some cash that way you can tell if you want to invest in an injection mold. Also wet the feathers on the part that dosen't go into the plastic. makes it lay uniformly in a mold.

Try dipping the stem of the feather in hot plastic and then put it in the body. Wear gloves but it should work. It looks great. i've been wanting to do this style bait as well but just havent got'n to it
In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax

snake, I did it that way quite a while back but it was a little aggrevating and I do not like messing with the glue. Yours definately looks great and I will try mentioning it to the man about making a feather mold.

I understand what you're saying but we are not wasting any plastic on the method that we are using because I would have to put the little belly back in the melting pot. This is really very easy for me to make them because we are cut tails off the body anyway.

good ideal but the feathers that we are using our real regular short Mirabeau's. It's better to pull them through the body and cut excess off. I don't think it would work by dipping them in hot plastic in person and through the plastic. But I have not tried this. Have you tried your method.
