Thread: just wanted to share

Since retirement I purchased a quality camera and started photographing. Due to time and raising family my desire for photography had to take a backseat to these daily pleasant life efforts. I took a basic photography course and photoshop course at a local collage and started pursuing subjects in the outdoors. Recently I got the nerve and took the step of entering a calendar photo contest for the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency. Of the ten photos entered I was notified that two made it all the way to the semi finals but failed to be selected. I was very happy to have two make it that far. Thought Id share these two semi finals entries with friends here. Hope you enjoy them. In closing, I am looking forward to next years entry opprotunity.



The blue heron was on Kentucky Lake and the elk was from the elk and bison center at LBL.

Never realized a lifetime of hunting and fishing would assist in photography. Also the ability to delete to trash can poor shots is a blessing. Shooting the old film cameras would break my piggy bank. Lol.
