It would help if you narrowed it down a little since DE is such a big state. If you have a county in mind New Castle,Kent or Sussex there are many different places I could suggest.

Delaware is tiny to me but I am from Tennessee which takes 8-10 hours to drive from one end to the other lol. I live in newark but I have no problem driving past dover or some where else in the state lol.

There are some decent ponds around Newark.Unfortunately some of the better ones are private that I know of.I use Google earth or an ADC map book and look for bodies of water from there it's just a matter of actually checking them out in person to see if they are fishable and/or if you can get permission. Most of the public ponds have been heavily fished but Lums and Becks Pond are close by and have good access from the shore.Probably the best bass pond around would be Noxontown Pond. You can fish around the dam easily. This pond is located on St.Andrews school property and has different hours depending on the time of year that the boat ramp gate is open.A far as I know you can fish the dam area and spillway anytime. There are also a few good spots on The Cristiana River to fish from the bank.Probably the best is the dam at Smalleys Rd.If you do a search on You Tube there are videos that can help you locate them and see exactly what you can catch there.I am getting ready to go crabbing now but I will try to think of some more specific spots to recommend sometime later when I get back.

    Hi Freak,
Sorry didn't get back to you.Crabbing was good though before I got called into work.See you posted this ? on The Bass College. Those guys can do a better job answering it than me.Lots and lots of info there. Some of those guys are fanatical in there approach and knowledge.Good luck finding a place to fish .Good luck and keep us posted although doesn't deem like there is many of US anymore.
