    Paying thousand (or tens of thousands) on boat, motor and electronics and then buying the cheapest floats makes no sense to me.

    The rocket bobbers are made for a specific weight. They are also weighted so the they cast farther. They can be lost but otherwise they are pretty tough.
    The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

    Good advice. You don’t have to spend a lot for a decent float. I got hooked on Trout Magnet EZ Floats and they are 4 for somewhere around $1.80. Can’t beat that and they work great.
