    Use this technique with ice spoons, particularly in cold water. It usually catches a lot more crappie than the "normal" baits.

    This technique is especially effective if there is some current to gives action to the stinger tails that are on so many lures these day like baby Shads etc. I call the method dead sticking since I’m not imparting any extra action to the lure. I really liked the article. Thanks Pappy.

    I vertical cast most of the time in winter one handle turn stop repeat until I see the lure. Works for me. Thanks to go Pappy.
