    Default Who's Still Building Structure?

Now that it seems like everyone has Livescope I was wondering how many still build structure to put in the lake. One thing about Livescope it sure is easy for people to find it nowadays. I still think that building structure, brushpiles, stakebeds, etc. is important as it gives the young crappie safe places to hide from predatory fish.
I, like everyone else, catch most of my fish roaming open water but you can sure get some numbers on a well-placed piece of habitat structure. I'm working on an idea that I think would be hard for the average fisherman to pick up on Livescope. After I try some testing we'll see how well it works.

I am planning on it after I figure out the rules Ohio Dept of Natural Resources has in place. Some great videos online of folks building though.

Seems like it would still help concentrate the fish so that they would be easier to scope

Side Scan is the bomb for finding structure - cruise along, scan 100 feet per side...

Just hope other guys are doing the same and then you can all share. For real.

[QUOTE=Blue Tin;4435732]Side Scan is the bomb for finding structure - cruise along, scan 100 feet per side.../QUOTE] Exactly what i do when searching a new area. When moving from pile to pile while seated up front when livescoping i set my scope to 60 feet forward range & scan back & forth searching on the way between piles etc. for things i haven't marked. Works extremely well.

I'll cut bamboo Monday for tomato stakes. Should have 24 tops to sink.
