    Default Christmas trees

Check with vendors that sell Christmas trees. Time to buy is over, save them from the dump.
I went to a local Kroger store Saturday. The manager said get what you want, get all of them if you can. I got a truckload and left 20 that were froze in pots of water. Need a trailer to get them.

I called my son to see if he and I could use his 16 ft trailer and get them today. He did a home covid test and came out neg. Thinks he has the flu maybe. I don't want to be around sick folks. Snow is coming down pretty good right now. To many crazy people on the road to be pulling a trailer.

Christmas Trees better than nothing but found they are not real good . Most don't last long , tend to moss over and hook hangers . Stakebeds are one of the best things to use . I have thousands of Crappie Condos out and have tried about everything .

I went to the store and got 13 today. Had a hatchet to chop the chuck of ice off of them. Saturday I got 10 and left 20 that were in full pots of water frozen. To much weight to mess with. Someone got 7, hope they place them where I'll be fishing.

Have helped to build and place many “ C “ trees in the past, have found that they have several advantages and disadvantages, the positives being that after the holidays they are abundant and cheap, they are usually pretty dense while being light weight and that being pines they are easy to trim for attaching weight/ blocks to. They can also be attached several different ways for different placements. They also ‘ bloom’ relatively quickly and are best/ most productive their 2nd year submerged. Their main disadvantage is that they decompose relatively rapidly, often being gone in about 4- 6 years depending on the species. Green cedar cut live offers most of these same advantages while usually lasting longer

Use plastic cars, chairs, and the like. They never go bad and are very cheap.

A guy was loading his boat as I was years ago. Told him I work habitat days on the big 4 lakes. He said he's dropped over 200 shopping carts in this lake.
