    Default depth?

If lake is drawn down around 33 feet in winter would something 5 feet tall sunk in 45 feet of water in summer which would put the top of it roughly 7 feet under the surface work pretty good in winter? Trying to put some out for summer & winter & getting a plan together.

Sounds like a plan to me. I find them under some really shallow docks here in the winter during drawdown

Hard to say what depth a fish wants on a given day. Set some at different depths. At one lake members cut bamboo full length, 30, 40 ft tall. Set in buckets and dropped. Some could barely be seen in the water. Others were seen a few ft above water. Flood control lake levels change with seasons. The fish might be a few ft of bottom one week and a few ft from surface the next.
