    Default Pine attractors

Thinking about making some stake type attractors. 5 southern yellow pine 2x2 in a tub. Would they last long enough to be worth it ?

Conrete blocks are fairly cheap. A little bit of concrete would set the stakes. Easier than trying to keep everything where you want it in a bucket until the concrete sets. Docks last for many years in the water.

Hard woods will last a lot longer than pine will. Xmas trees don't last much beyond 3 years in the water.

The price of PVC pipe is unreal. Otherwise it seems to be a long lasting alternative

Silverside, try getting some wood skids. They are usually, for the most part, made from hard woods. Find someone in plumbing, and see if you can get their scrap pieces.

Check with local cabinet builders. They usually have pieces just the right size in our area.

a chain saw and a walk in the woods will get you all the hard wood you want. limbs off of oak or maple 2 to 3 inch dia.
