    Default Low water crappie

Just started with crappie last year. Guy I know took me out one time the fall before and we fished under a floating outhouse, murdered them! Started on my own last year and went looking for submerged brush and got a ton of them. Where I fish is a resivour and this time of year the water is really down and can't find them. Haven't even been seeing much on my fish finder. Did get one in open water and that was it. Fishing same spots I fished last year but the water is way below the brush. Tried rock pile's but no luck there either. How do you find them in low water like this? Thinking of giving it up till the res fills better. On the good side the one I got this year was 10", couple inch's better than what I was getting last year. That sure would be nice!

find a channel edge and move along the break line slowly from shallow water to deeper water . somewhere along it there are likely fish stacked up and they may be in real deep water , if there is no thermocline they might be down at 30 or 40 in a real clear lake in the summer .
