    Default Cedar stake buckets

This is my first attempt at stake buckets, and would like your opinion on these.

I have enough material to make several, but started out easy, with only 2. The wood is cedar, and the length on the longer pieces is around 6 feet, with a width of around 6 inches.

Do you guys think the stakes are too big/long ? Should I rip em in half lengthwise ?

I was able to get about 50 pounds of crete in each bucket. Should I supplement each with a sandbag ?

They look good to me. Can't imagine you would need any additional weight.

If you have the time I would rip them in half length wise. That would give you more planks per bucket. Just my personal preference, nothing wrong with what you have done.

The stakes work great . I try to use about 2'' x 2 '' stakes in buckets but have used as big as 2 ''x 4 '' when driving them in bottom . Bigger/heavier wood should last longer

Everytime we try something that long in a bucket they want to float.
