Thread: pond guestion

i've got a small farm pond thats been on my place since i was a kid. its got a decent amount of fish in it but for the last 4-5 years i'm developing a floating grass. it dies off in the winter and will start to grow back in spring. by this time every year it is so thick your lure will just sit on top. it is a thin, stringy, and very tough almost feels like wire. by now it penetrates the full depth of the water. i say its floating cause on days when the wind is strong it will move to the windblown side. any thoughts on herbicide or other treatment. even if it kills the fish im willing to restock it. i want my pond back.
